Follow Your Heart - Insults
As parents, we want to help our children talk about how they feel.
Our children need to feel that their emotions will be accepted and respected. And equally important, they need to learn how to handle their emotions in ways most conducive to their own growth and happiness.
Children behave according to their feelings. If their feelings are met with disapproval, they feel confused, angry, upset, and are less likely to rely on their intuition in the future.
This series aims to promote awareness among parents and educators and to develop emotional intelligence in young children. It exposes children to a wide range of emotions and teaches them to identify and acknowledge their feelings. After recognizing and acknowledging their feelings, they can learn to regulate them and use them as a springboard for growth.
Candid, frank discussions about feelings will help us raise children who are emotionally healthy and stable. These interactions will enhance their self-awareness, providing them with a sound basis for spiritual and emotional growth and success in life.
